About Counseling at the Counseling Room

Society has a funny idea about what seeing a counselor is like. When we see counseling sessions in films or TV, they rarely look appealing. In real life, counseling is much less dramatic and awkward. It can even be pleasant.
The Counseling Room is located in the Clear Horizons Office Suite at 740 Burbank Street, Broomfield CO, 80020
What to expect

  • Sessions are 45 minutes long
  • They are collaborative and positive
  • Typically scheduled weekly
The first session is a chance for your therapist to get to know you and for you to get to know them. Sessions are 45 minutes long. We will go over what brings you in, get some background information from you, and answer any questions you might have. At the end of the session, they’ll give you an idea of what kinds of things we might do in counseling to help with your specific needs.

A: I accept Cigna insurance. I can also provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for out of network reimbursement (check with your insurance company to see if your plan covers out-of-network providers). I also offer a limited number of sliding scale slots with reduced rates depending on your income. Contact me for more information or to see if I have a sliding scale slot open.
